Among the others, it is worth mentioning Bosco Marengo, birthplace of Pope Saint Pio V, up to now the only Piedmontese Pope. Here we can admire the wonderful monumental complex of Santa Croce, erected on commission of the Pope himself in 1566. It was made with the participation of the best artists among whom Giorgio Vasari.

11.00: Arrival at Capriata d'Orba.
Stop by the Cantina Insieme for aperitif and tasting of wines of their production.

12.30 Arrival at Mantovana.
Stop for lunch prepared by the local pro Loco.
The Association Pro Loco of Mantovana was established and has been active since 1986 to promote the territory It is famous for the organization, more or less at the middle of August, of the historical feast of "Bollito misto con Bagnet" (bolied meats accompanied by a sauce made with parsley, garlic and anchovies)
